WHO Environment and Health meeting debates role of science in policy making

An International Public Health Symposium got under way in Madrid today at the start of a meeting that will also discuss plans for the fifth Ministerial Summit on Environment and Health in 2009. Organised by the World Health Organization (WHO), the symposium aims to recommend ways to better incorporate emerging scientific evidence into policy-making.
