US EPA publishes list of pre-manufacturing notices for 40 new chemicals

The US Environmental Protection Agency has published in the Federal Register a list of 40 pre-manufacturing notices (PMNs) and 21 notices of commencement to manufacture a new chemical, as required under section 5 of the Toxic Substances Control Act. The notices were received between 10 September and 30 September. Of the PMNs, 27 have their manufacturer or importer protected as confidential business information. Comments on the notices are due by 23 November.
