HealthyToys.org relaunches in time for Christmas
03-Dec-2008
The US Ecology Center has relaunched its HealthyToys.org site with lists of those toys containing the most and least toxins - lead, cadmium, chlorine, arsenic, mercury, antimony, tin, bromine, or chromium - in tested components. Transformers, Star Wars and Alex toys feature in the best toys list, while Disney, LeapFrog and Alex brands feature in the worst. The group is campaigning at state and national level for legislation on hazardous chemicals in toys. It also operates the HealthyCar.org and leadfreewheels.org sites.
