Company Background

Compliance Services International (CSI) provides innovative solutions for organisations faced with regulatory and environmental challenges. Established in 1988, our diverse staff of experienced scientists and regulatory specialists tailors strategy and studies to meet specific client needs. CSI delivers economically sensible and scientifically sound results by focusing on client objectives. CSI provides innovative approaches to solving regulatory and environmental challenges - combining traditional sciences with developing technologies to better characterise product, environmental and risk management issues.

With offices in the USA and Europe, CSI offers integrated USA-European strategies for U.S. companies wishing to market products in Europe and vice versa.  This “regulatory corridor” provides an efficient route for data development and product registration to support multinational companies.

Work Area Details
Consortium management
Ensuring the smooth running and management of consortia formed to face up to the challenges of REACH will be one of the major tasks facing companies looking to register their substances. Over many years CSI has accumulated considerable experience in the running of task forces and consortia and is well placed to guide and support consortia through all phases of the REACH registration process. CSI can call upon expert legal advice to assist companies in generating appropriate consortia agreements and can coordinate all aspects of consortia administration including documentation, communication, organisation of meetings and financial matters.
Dossier preparation & data management
CSI has vast experience in the compilation and submission of regulatory dossiers throughout the world, and is therefore well placed to support companies and consortia facing up to the challenges of REACH. Experience in the conduct of human and environmental hazard assessment, exposure assessment and risk characterisation means that CSI is ideally qualified to conduct the Chemical Safety Assessments (CSAs) and compile the Chemical Safety Reports (CSRs) required under REACH, as well as compile all other information required for the registration dossier.
Only representative

CSI offers a comprehensive Only Representative service for non-EU companies seeking to fulfil their REACH obligations. Our network of US offices and our European office in the UK mean that we are ideally placed to assist US companies facing up to the challenges of REACH.

CSI was actively involved in the pre-registration phase of REACH, has considerable experience in the use of the REACH-IT system and can offer the highest level of service and communication to assist our REACH clients in an Only Representative capacity.

Pre-registration/Registration
Risk assessment (environmental)
Risk assessment (human)
CSI is able to offer clients a complete service in the conduct of both the human and environmental risk assessments required under REACH. Vast experience in undertaking human and environmental hazard assessments, exposure assessments and risk characterisations means that CSI can fulfil all of the requirements of the Chemical Safety Assessment (CSA) and can deliver to its clients both an overall risk assessment and a comprehensive risk management summary in the required form of a Chemical Safety Report (CSR).
