Revised EU toy safety Directive published
30-Jun-2009
The text of the revised EU toy safety Directive is published in the Official Journal today. The law was adopted at first reading but has been criticised by consumer groups and the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment for imposing too lenient controls on hazardous chemical content (CW 6 January 2009). The law will enter into force on 19 July.
