Mixed ashes consortium looks for members
A number of companies working across various sectors have developed a REACH consortium agreement for mixed ashes. The agreement has been sent to companies that have expressed an interest in the consortium, and if 30 legal entities sign it by 9 October the consortium will be officially founded.
The Consortium plans to cover ashes from combustion of bio fuels, peat, deinking sludge, pulp and paper industry sludge, coal in fuel mix and recycled fuel (REF, only in co-incineration). All legal entities that are planning to register these ashes or ash mixes are welcome to join the consortium. Companies who have coal as their main fuel are recommended to contact the existing coal ashes consortium.
The Finnish companies Linnunmaa and Pohjolan Voima will act as the project manager and lead company respectively. Interested companies should contact ash.consortium@linnunmaa.fi
