European Commission seeks to accelerate basis for defining nanomaterials

The European Commission’s Scientific Committee on Emerging and Newly Identified Health Risks (SCENIHR) has been asked to provide a scientific opinion via the accelerated procedure on the scientific basis for the definition of nanomaterials. Working in co-operation with other European Community scientific committees, and possibly external experts, the committee will report back by May.
