US EPA clarifies chemical identification process for activated phosphors
02-Mar-2010
The US Environmental Protection Agency has issued notice in the Federal Register clarifying how activated phosphors should be chemically identified for the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Inventory. The agency notes that from 1978 to 2003 there was no consistency in the identification of activated phosphors – which are mixtures of phosphors and activating agents. The new approach will be effective from 24 August 2011.
