WECF indoor air study shows high formaldehyde and VOC levels in children's rooms
05-Mar-2010
Women in Europe for a Common Future (WECF) has published results of its Nesting project study on indoor air quality in children's rooms. It found that in 40% of cases levels for both formaldehyde and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) were above those accepted by the French safety and environmental agency (AFSSET) and the European Collaborative Action on indoor air quality (ECA). The project is ongoing.
The report will be presented by WECF next week during the Fifth Ministerial Conference on Environment and Health in Parma, Italy.
