Trichloroethylene, borates and chromates in latest SVHC proposals

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has published proposals to identify eight chemicals as Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) and possible candidates for authorisation. Comments on the proposals can be made until 22 April 2010.

The proposals, from three EU Member States – Denmark, France and Germany – cover:

  • Trichloroethylene
  • Boric acid
  • Disodium tetraborate, anhydrous
  • Tetraboron disodium heptaoxide, hydrate
  • Sodium chromate
  • Potassium chromate
  • Ammonium dichromate
  • Potassium dichromate
