EU committee disputes flame retardant risk assessment conclusion

Exposure to the 'V6' flame retardant used in polyurethane foam in car seats is likely to have been underestimated, says the European Commission's Scientific Committee on Health and Environmental Risks (SCHER), commenting on a risk assessment report (RAR). It concludes further information and/or testing is required on emissions and exposure during product use and disposal.
