REACH legal challenge - formal statement from law firm
07-Jan-2008
UK High Court ruling on application of REACH Regulation to polymers is "a great result for the chemical industry," say lawyers acting on behalf of the four companies that filed a claim. They say it brings "much needed clarification and legal certainty to the interpretation of the REACH Regulation and it ensures that its provisions will be subject to legal review by the European Court of Justice." However, the ECJ is not expected to reply until 2009.
