ECHA publishes nominees for Socio-Economic Assessment Committee
08-Feb-2008
The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has published a fresh list of nominees for its Socio-Economic Assessment Committee (SEAC). The body will play a key role in decision-making under the REACH Regulation's authorisation procedures. ECHA's Management Board asked Member States to reconsider nominees last year due to concern that some may have conflicts of interest as a result of their links with industry (CW Article 18 December 2007). The board will reconsider the nominations at its meeting next week. SEAC is due to hold its first meeting in March.
