Ökö Institut clarifies criteria for selecting ROHS candidates

The Ökö Institut, the consultancy contracted by the European Commission to advise it on changes under the EU Directive on the restriction of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, has issued a notice clarifying the apparently short deadline for comments and its selection criteria for high priority substances. All stakeholder responses are now available at the consultancy's website. Ökö's report is expected to be submitted to the European Commission next week.
