On- and offshore operators, sub-contractors urged to join group; plans to include mercury, sulphur

Operators of onshore refineries and offshore oil and gas platforms together with their sub-contractors are invited to join a REACH consortium to register the commonly used in-situ biocide, sodium hypochlorite.The group is still at the planning stage, according to Damien Carson of engineering consultancy BMT Cordah, which is leading the project.
