Cambridge Environmental Assessments (CEA) is a leader in chemical risk assessments. Established in 2000, CEA brings together expertise from the chemical industry and government research organisations. Based eight miles west of the university city of Cambridge, CEA provides state-of-the-art modelling and higher-tier environmental risk assessment. CEA works with a number of companies, providing regulatory advice and delivers tailored risk assessments to support registrations of products across Europe.

CEA is part of ADAS UK Ltd, the UK’s largest provider of environmental solutions and policy advice. CEA offers a range of regulatory services for the plant Protection Products (PPP) Directive (91/414/EEC), the Biocidal Products Directive (BPD) (98/8/EC), the Veterinary Medicines Directive (2001/82/EC), Human Pharmaceuticals Directive 2001/83/EC, and the REACH legislation (1907/2006).
