REACh and its Asian cousins: the challenge of compliance for multi-regional registrations

In the wake of the REACh implementation in the European Union, several Asian countries such as China, Japan and Korea have recently updated their chemical management regulations to close the regulatory gap they see between REACh and their own regulatory systems. These changes, including new duties and requirements, will impact chemical companies which focus on the Asian market. This workshop will inform and support the industry regarding the latest updates and developments in Asian chemical compliance. The workshop is targeted at decision makers and regulatory affairs managers in the chemical industry who wish to enhance their knowledge and facilitate their participation in the Asian market. The workshop will give participants the opportunity to check, evaluate and optimize their current business strategy for Asia. Regarding REACh, the workshop will cover the hot topics “Compliance Check” and “REACh Review.” The global perspective will be introduced by a presentation about the ICCA initiative called Global Product Strategy (GPS). In the main part, we will provide an overview of the management and implementation of several Asian chemical regulations:

  • China New Chemical Substance Notification (China NCSN)
  • Korea's REACh-like amendments to the Toxic Chemicals Control Act (TCCA)
  • Japan's amendments to the Chemical Substances Control Law (CSCL)
  • Chemical management systems in Thailand and Malaysia

Join us for this workshop and learn how to best comply with the new requirements and challenges these regulations have introduced.
