This module is intended for persons involved in chemical hazard communication and related activities who have little, or no, chemical background but need to understand the basic relationship between chemicals, how to recognise them and understand their properties. Covering the essential needs for application to chemical hazard communication, this basic chemistry module has been developed to give delegates sufficient chemical knowledge to assist them in undertaking their duties.

NOTE: It is not like an ‘O’ level chemistry course, but concentrates on what is needed for industrial application. Since chemistry is often looked on as a foreign language; an analogy could be a ‘get by in French’ course.
