| Details | Under the supervision of a Senior Environmental Toxicologist you will be in charge of the operational expertise supporting Rhodia Business Units in order to assess the physico-chemical and ecotoxicological properties of their chemical products and to conduct environmental risk assessments according to the regulations into force such as REACH, GHS/CLP or any worldwide requirement. Your main attributions will be: • to optimize the testing strategies after the investigation about existing information and the use of models to predict the fate and behaviour of the substances in the environment, • to organise and monitor the physico-chemical and ecotoxicological studies in the frame of regulatory dossiers and products in development, • to prepare the dossiers for submission to Competent Authorities and propose classification of products according to current Regulations, • to participate in various aspects of the implementation of the Product-stewardship in the Business Units: sharing environmental risk assessments of products, proposing relevant risk management measures, following and assisting R&D programmes, supporting the Product Stewards in their relationships with customers (safety data sheets) or colleagues (consortium), • to follow latest improvements in the domain of expertise and participate where appropriate to workshops and meetings within professional associations in relation to this domain. Qualifications: a level of education which corresponds to completed university studies (or “bac + 5”) of at least five (5) years attested by a diploma in one of the following fields: biology, agronomy, environmental chemistry, life sciences or related areas, and relevant and proven professional experience as environmental toxicologist of at least five (5) years gained after obtaining the diploma (e.g. position in Industry, laboratory, Competent Authorities). Experience in one of the regulated markets such as biocides, pesticides or in ecolabels would be an advantageous. You are fluent in French and English.
