Cefic updates guidance for late pre-registration, SIEF timechart
The European Chemical Industry Council (Cefic) has updated its guidance document on late pre-registration, which provides practical information for companies on how to submit a pre-registration.
Changes from the previous version, published in October 2011, are listed at the start of the document. These include additional information on lead registrants' obligations, clarification on pre-registration by downstream users and ECHA support, and emphasis on the fact that certain substances may be illegally on the market if no pre-registration is received as required.
Cefic has also published an updated version of its Substance Information Exchange Fora (SIEF) timechart, which recommends the appropriate timing for different tasks which must be completed in a SIEF.
