Metoc chosen for Yorkshire AMP5 bathing water contract

One of the UK's “largest and most comprehensive” investigations into the quality of designated bathing waters will be undertaken by specialist consultancy Metoc on behalf of Yorkshire Water. As part of Yorkshire Water's spending programme for the 2010-2015 fifth asset management programme (AMP5), Metoc will look at “water quality issues in rivers, reservoirs and lakes with a view to optimising asset performance to meet water quality standards”. Commenting on the contract, Metoc director, Chris Mooij, said: “We are pleased to have the opportunity to work on this progressive and challenging AMP5 programme. Yorkshire Water has recognised the innovation and vision that has gone into our systems, software and service delivery”. Metoc has similar AMP5 contracts with Scottish Water and Anglian Water.
