| Details | Responsibilities You manage the implementation of chemicals legislation and regulatory affairs affecting the Business Unit’s product portfolio. You assure that international regulatory compliance is achieved for all the Business Unit’s products. You identify data gaps and future challenges with regard to regulatory requirements, and develop and manage programs to respond to this. You respond to internal (Umicore) and external (customers, regulators, industry associations) questions related to chemicals management. You represent the Business Unit on different fora such as working groups of metals industry associations, the management groups of REACH consortia and towards authorities. You manage the REACH authorisation process affecting the Business Unit’s products You build the network and represent the Business Unit towards peer competitors, authorities and customers In collaboration with Corporate Environmental, Health & Safety department you assure input to and compliance with Umicore Corporate objectives and reporting. Profile You have an academic degree and at least 5 years relevant working experience in industry and/or consultancy. You have a good knowledge of organic and inorganic chemistry. You have in-depth experience with international product regulations and chemicals management. You have strong analytical and synthesis skills. You are an excellent networker and communicator. You have good reporting skills. You are a skilled planner and organizer and you can handle a wide stream of information. You are fluent in English and Dutch. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage. You will be based in Olen (Belgium) with regular activities in Brussels. You are prepared to travel internationally (ca 10% of time). |
