Tianhe Chemicals Company Limited (Liaoning DFH-TH Chemicals Co Limited) is the leading Chinese manufacturer and marketer of Lubricant Oil Chemicals. Its goal is to enter the International Market and as such registration of its products becomes an essential requirement. . An experienced Regulatory Manager is urgently required to provide advice and implement the inclusion of the Tianhe product range on the ECHA inventory for REACH. This is a newly created position for an ambitious Senior Manager with the appropriate skills and drive, Applicants should be

  • Talented, self-motivated, able to work without supervision and be capable of interfacing in cross cultural situations.

  • Have ‘hands on’ practical knowledge of the EU REACH regulations and experience in the substance registration processes.

  • Capable of creating an International Division for the company which will satisfy the complexities of REACH registration for its range of Speciality Chemicals and Blends.

  • Experienced in all aspects of REACH, including familiarity with representing the company within a SIEF and have the ability to build a team of specialists to bring about full compliance.

The candidate must have at least 8 years experience at a senior level in a chemical regulatory department, ideally in the lubricant oil industry, together with a thorough knowledge of the ECHA REACH Process. Minimum entry level will be an Honours degree in Chemistry or associated disciplines. Knowledge of the industry will be a real benefit. Further, a knowledge of Chinese language (Mandarin) and written skills would be a bonus, but not essential.

The whole project will require a clear thinking planner with a good network and the readiness to work within specific time lines.

Key aspects of the role you will be asked to undertake include:

  • Developing and implementing problem solving strategies

  • Liaising with SIEF groups in the delivery of REACH support programmes

  • Compiling and submitting registration and other dossiers to the relevant authorities

  • Project Management

  • Managing a team of specialists

It is a demanding role, and the remuneration will reflect this
