Mamta is CEO and co-founder of Chemical Watch.  She has steered the company since its launch in 2007 to become the world-leading news service on chemical risk management to ensure product safety. She has a degree in applied chemistry, postgraduate diploma in journalism and has reported on health and environmental science and business issues for different publications for 25 years. Julian is co-founder of Chemical Watch, which has grown from two people in 2007 to more than 50 staff today. Initially he was Managing Director, now Chairman. He also co-founded the environmental business information service, Environment Analyst. He has a background in journalism, product development and business leadership.

Paul is an award winning non-Executive CFO supporting the management of the finances of CW Research Ltd. He has a wide range of financial experience with companies in multiple sectors including publishing, manufacturing and chemicals. Paul is also to the managing Director of Power Systems International and niche Engineering business in Milton Keynes.

Stuart is the Managing Director of CW Research Ltd, heading the management team, running operations and sitting on the Board. Previously, he worked for the environmental news publisher ENDS in a business management and new product development role and at global food & drinks consultancy, Zenith Global.

Robin joined the CW Board in 2017 as a non-exec. Prior to this, he co-founded Melcrum, a research and training business sold in 2015, and today advises high-growth businesses. He is the author of 'The Hurst Chronicles' series.


Data, Analysis & Research


Nhat joined Chemical Watch in April 2018 as Chief Analyst. Nhat is a US licensed attorney, and prior to joining Chemical Watch, Nhat was a regulatory analyst and consultant, advising customers on a range of issues in Asia, the EU and the US. 


Sarah has joined CW as Hubs Editorial Content Manager. She has had a long career in publishing and editorial design and recently obtained a Masters of Research in Information Environments.

Kim joined Chemical Watch in 2017 as Information Manager. Prior to this she was technical lead in the data products team at Granta Design and worked on restricted substances and eco design solutions. She previously worked for Unilever in the Safety and Environmental Assurance Centre and has a degree in Applied and Environmental Biology.


Susan joined Chemical Watch in April 2016, as Digital Content Co-ordinator. Prior to joining Chemical Watch, Susan worked in a variety of libraries for over a decade, where she developed an interest in online information environments, databases and learning tools. 


Tristan is an information & Data analyst for Chemical Watch. He has previously worked in technical roles across the NHS and research as well working as a data analyst for a benchmarking company. He also has completed in a BSc in Chemistrys. 


Cristina Garcia is one of Chemical Watch’s global regulatory analysts, with a focus on Europe and Latin America. Prior to joining chemical watch, Cristina worked in regulatory affairs and compliance management for multinational companies in the food contact, biocide, and chemical industry. Cristina has a post-graduation in toxicology, transport of dangerous goods expert (DGSA), as well as other regulatory and toxicology issues.   




Geraint was previously Associate Editor at The ENDS Report. He has reported on environmental policy and issues across a wide range of business sectors, including the international chemical industry.

Nick has worked for the Birmingham Evening Mail and the trade union UNISON. He has had four books published, articles in the Independent and Daily Telegraph, and a documentary on Al Jazeera.

Caroline has worked full-time as a journalist for Bloomberg and The Associated Press in London and New York. She has also been a freelancer for Dubai TV, the Times of Malta and Canada’s Globe and Mail newspaper.

Prior to joining Chemical Watch, Leigh wrote for the Press Association, ICIS and, covering a range of environmental and business related topics. He also contributes to Guardian Sustainable Business. Leigh is the editor of Chemical Watch’s global business coverage.

Sunny has been supporting businesses in environmental compliance and international trade before she joined CW. She is experienced in editing, proofreading and translating for academic journals. She is a native Korean speaker and has an MA in Cultural Studies and a BA in History.


Luke has spent over a decade editing and reporting for diverse international B2B and technical publications covering: green fuels, oil and petrochemicals, air and sea transportation and logistics, and construction. He joined Chemical Watch in 2016.


Prior to joining Chemical Watch, Kelly worked with trade associations, with a focus on regulatory advocacy for the building and construction industry. Her academic background is in English and Spanish.

Charlotte Niemiec is the deputy news editor at Chemical Watch. She has a masters in Shakespeare from the University of London and has spent nearly a decade writing on the chemicals, commodities and biotech industries. 

Andrew has a background in chemistry, magazine publishing and chemical hazard regulations. From 2010 to 2014, he was the deputy editor at Chemistry World, the flagship magazine of the Royal Society of Chemistry. Since then, he has worked as a consultant on a range of projects relating to science communication, EU policy and REACH.

Martina had a career in book publishing, before working for Chemical Watch as a subeditor. She has an MA in Hungarian from the School of Slavonic and East European Studies, University of London. Martina recently learnt Welsh.

Ellen joined AsiaHub team of Chemical Watch in 2017. She has experience in translation, writing, editing and project management. Ellen speaks Mandarin and has a BA in Chinese from London’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). Prior to joining Chemical Watch she lived and worked in China for seven years.

Before joining Chemical Watch, Lisa wrote from both California and Mexico City for the Associated Press, the Chronicle of Social Change, and as a freelancer. Her academic background is in international relations, environmental policy, and literature.

Ginger is a reporter covering UN chemicals policy and regulatory developments in Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. Prior to joining Chemical Watch, Ginger reported on European sustainability policy for Politico in Brussels. She has a degree in international journalism from the Missouri School of Journalism, and has worked as a researcher for Investigative Reporters and Editors and PolitiFact. She has also freelanced for major US newspapers and regional magazines.

Events and Training

Judy has a background in event organising around the world and has spent most of her career producing high level regulatory events for a number of leading international organisations.

Juliet has over eight years' experience in the events Industry planning and running a wide range of events. She loves creating events from concept to completion giving every guest the best experience possible, and works on many of the international events and conferences Chemical Watch offers. Juliet has a BA Hons in English and Drama and is soon to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Events Management.

Born in Munich, Doris has a background in teaching, translation and languages. She is fluent in English, German and French (keen on improving her Italian).

As the Training Events Manager, Lisa co-ordinates the training events schedule and manages all organisational aspects. Lisa has a background and experience in marketing, events management, administration and customer services having worked in industries including, aviation, hotels, kitchen design, apparel and fashion.

David has joined Chemical Watch as eLearning Manager in 2017, he is responsible for oversight and fulfilment of the development of our eLearning portfolio. David brings experience as an eLearning and training developer, and development consultation; previously working in finance.


Lorna has a background in event organising and customer service in the travel and training sectors, including Simply Travel, Eastern Leadership Centre and Cambridgeshire County Council. She has a BA (Hons) degree in Business & Tourism Studies


Katy joined Chemical Watch in 2014 after college and has since completed various qualifications. Her role includes handling delegate bookings, speaker logistics and exhibitor management.

Glen has a background in finance, and joins the Chemical Watch team with responsibility for subscription renewals and entries in our annual Service Providers Guide.

Jacob joined Chemical Watch in 2016 and works in the events team as Multimedia Production & AV Manager. Among other things, he's responsible for handling AV requirements with external contractors at all CW live events, filming & editing presentation footage at our US & Asian conferences, and handling media production needs for eLearning courses. He has a BA (Hons) degree in Film & Television Production.



Prior to joining Chemical Watch in 2012, Richard spent 15 years in senior digital marketing/operations positions within a range of digital publishing, elearning and software development organisations.

Louise has over 10 years' experience of leading and managing professional sales teams in the publishing sector; both print and digital. She joined Chemical Watch in January 2018 and now leads the global sales team.

After completing a BA in Russian Studies, Greg has extensive experience in international business development and training, and speaks multiple languages including French, German, Russian and Serbo-Croatian.After 5 years of international business development in patent information services, he joins Chemical Watch as International Business Development Manager.


Lotte joined the company in 2009. Her main focus is subscription sales and renewals. She also works on a variety of projects within the company which include; job advertising, exhibitor sales and Service Providers Guide sales.


Sonja works on a variety of different projects within the company which include subscription sales, banner advertising, event advertising and attending our conferences. She previously worked in the media industry, in advertising.

Before joining our sales team, Bill worked as a copywriter, specialising in web content and articles for environmental businesses and social enterprises. He also has 10 years' experience in media and B2B sales and has previously co-run an organic food distribution company. He has an interest in environmental affairs and a degree in Environmental Studies.

Victor joined Chemical Watch in July 2015 as an account manager, with an academic background in Business Management adding to the team his professional experience in international business, sales and international events background. Born in Costa Rica fluent in Spanish and wishing to continue improving on his Italian.

Meg joined the company after relocating from South East England. She has a lot of experience in office administration in various roles in globally operating companies. She now deals with event media partnerships and administration support in her role as Sales Administrator and Customer Service Executive.

Samantha Nelms joined Chemical Watch after working for several years for Hogan Lovells in their law library. She also has a strong background in event planning from her time working at non-profits and in political fundraising. Samantha works in the U.S office, handling renewals and providing administrative and event support.



Over 15 years of B2B/B2C marketing & sales experience in publishing, professional information and events including leading the marketing departments at MoneyWeek magazine and Euromoney (Metal Bulletin). Prior to joining the marketing team in May 2018, Ryan worked and lived in London, Paris and most recently Singapore.


Sarah has worked in marketing for multinational publishing companies since 2011. She joined the Bath office in February 2015, primarily managing the marketing campaigns for our range of products and global events. Before Chemical Watch, Sarah worked for Taylor & Francis (Informa Group), marketing Routledge social science books, and has a BSc in Psychology.

With a background in B2B marketing, PR and events management, Tassia joined Chemical Watch in May 2018 as Marketing Executive, primarily managing day-to-day and ongoing campaigns. She has a BA (Hons) degree in Drama Studies and qualifications with the Chartered Institute of Marketing.


After spending five years living and working in London, Danielle moved to the South West and joined the Chemical Watch marketing team in September 2017. Before joining the business, Danielle spent over two and a half years on the editorial team at business publisher B2B Marketing.


Emily graduated with a BA in Media Communications & Publishing and joined Chemical Watch’s Marketing team in 2018 as their Assistant. Her role primarily includes working on sales/marketing projects, marketing campaigns, email marketing systems, social media and media partnerships.


Jess joined Chemical Watch from college and has completed a Business Administration apprenticeship and a mentoring qualification. She now deals with data management, analysis and reporting.


Harrison is responsible for all design and production here at CW Research Ltd. After gaining a BA hons in Graphic design in Bristol, he did a short stint working in London before going onto work for Buckinghamshire Business First.

Petya joined Chemical Watch in 2015 as a member of the Marketing team and is responsible for web content management and print production. She has worked in similar positions in National associations of Local councils in UK, Bulgarian Energy Holding in Bulgaria, tourism industry in Greece and has BA in International Relations.


Customer, Publishing & Services

Emma has written extensively for Chemical Week and ICIS, and advised bodies including Cefic on communication issues. She jointly launched the Responsible Care magazine Careline. Emma has a degree in chemistry with industrial economics.

Henry previously worked in a business development role for an international science publication, representing them at their worldwide conferences.
He has experience as a contributing editor and a background in sales and marketing. In 2009 he gained a BA in English Literature.

Before joining CW, Sarah gained experience in the banking, accountancy, distribution, exhibition and planning sectors. Sarah is responsible for supporting the CW staff on all HR issues and ensures the smooth running of the Shrewsbury office.


Francesca joined Chemical Watch in July 2017 to provide admin support across the business. She is the first point of contact for IT support within the company and runs training for internal applications. Francesca has a BA Hons degree in Graphic Design along with qualifications in Excel. She has a background in office & data management.


David joined Chemical Watch in 2011. He works in the accounts department and deals with the day to day financial activities of the company. While working at Chemical Watch he has gained the Association of Accounting Technicians qualification.


Nicola joined Chemical Watch in 2016. She previously worked in the banking industry for 20 years, gaining accounting and credit control experience. She works in the accounts department and deals with the day to day financial activities of the company.
