The SCHC Professional Development Committee is announcing an SCHC TSCA Reform Webinar, An Overview and Summary of the New TSCA: Major Changes, What to Expect, and When to Expect It , to be held on July 13, 2016. On June 7, 2016, the U.S. Senate passed by unanimous consent voice vote the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act, and it is expected to be signed into law by President Obama within days. The new law makes sweeping changes to the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), and will significantly influence the regulation and marketing of industrial chemicals in the U.S. for years to come. All chemical stakeholders doing business in the U.S. will need to understand the fundamental shifts in requirements, the new concepts and approaches that are introduced by the law, and the timetable that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) must follow in implementing the new law. This webinar will provide an overview of the new law and major changes to TSCA. |
