Exponent's European Chemical Regulation & Food Safety Centre specialises in timely high-quality, creative, and practical solutions to problems that affect our clients ability to conduct business globally. Our experienced staff include both technical and regulatory consultants who are practiced in dealing with pesticide and non-pesticide products including conventional chemicals, biochemicals, microbials, biocides, cosmetics, consumer products and products of biotechnology and with foods, food ingredients, and nutrition.
We are currently recruiting for a SeniorRegulatoryManaging Scientist to provide leadership and support to project teams working on regulatory submissions for the registration of plant protection product in Europe. The role could be based from one of our UK offices (Harrogate, Derby, Edinburgh or London), or from our Dusseldorf (EU) or Basel (Switzerland) offices. Remote working may also be considered.
Responsibilities for this position include:
Providing strategic advice to clients and colleagues
Leadership of multi-disciplinary projects, including co-ordination of the preparation of dossiers for active substances and products
Maintaining good relationships with clients and the regulatory authorities to ensure continued repeat business and to enhance Exponent’s reputation for excellent and impartial regulatory and scientific advice
Assisting in the development of new business with existing and new clients for the provision of regulatory services
To act as the focal point for negotiations with EFSA, the Commission and Member States on behalf of clients
Development of an established client network and management of these client relationships directly.
Qualifications for this position include:
Proven track record of working in regulatory affairs for plant protection products at EU and Member State level (minimum 10 years experience)
Excellent communication skills including the ability to explain complex regulatory issues
BSc. in chemistry, pharmacology, biology or a closely related field
Candidates with less experience may also be considered for a less senior role.
