||Cadenabbia, Lake Como, Italy
According to established tradition, Lexxion, publisher of the European Food and Feed Law Review (EFFL) as well as the European Journal of Risk Regulation (EJRR) , organises the 4th Summer Academy on Global Food Law & Policy. This 5-day course brings together a wide range of experts to offer training on the foundations of global food law and policy as well as to provide a great opportunity for professional development and networking in an interdisciplinary setting.
The academy venue – Villa La Collina/Accademia Konrad Adenauer, Cadenabbia, Lake Como – offers an excellent framework to allow a maximum of 25 delegates a thorough examination of the highly topical agenda which this year will be under the overall theme of Nutrition Law and Policy.
From health claims and intellectual property rights to nutrition and industry compliance, regulating the future of food, the WTO SPS Agreement and Codex Alimentarius, the academy will offer scientific reflection and discourse on key legal and policy issues on European and world food law as well as information and updates on the latest developments. This will be achieved through a dynamic, informal and highly interactive five-day programme including lectures, presentations, discussion groups and social activities.
The academic director of the Summer Academy is Alberto Alemanno, Associate Professor of Law at HEC Paris and Editor of EJRR.
The faculty of the Summer Academy will consist of food experts and representatives from international and EU institutions such as WTO, EFSA and the Council of the European Union, the industry (Coca-Cola), academia (Harvard University) and private legal practice.
