Software company VelocityEHS has updated its MSDSonline platform to provide a more "visually intuitive" user interface, improved accessibility and a range of new tools.
The widely used platform is primarily for management of chemicals inventories and safety data sheets (SDSs).
The company says it has improved the SDS search functionality in terms of prediction and categorisation of results and by increasing the degree to which it can be personalised to suit individual users.
The new version has "advanced language capabilities", giving immediate access to hazardous chemical safety information in a range of languages. That information includes company-specific SDSs and secondary workplace container labels.
It also has functionality for:
- location-specific reporting functionality;
- mobile device access; and
- container level inventory management.
The release, announced on 16 October, includes over 350 "new and improved features", VelocityEHS says.
