OECD updates chemical data search application

The OECD has updated its eChemPortal application for searching properties of chemicals across multiple data sources.

Version 2.0 is aligned with:

  • November 2017 changes to the OECD’s harmonised templates for reporting information, used for the risk assessment of chemicals;
  • GHS revisions 5 (2015) and 7 (2017); and
  • Iuclid 6.2.

The changes, released on 31 October, allow users to perform searches using the same fields as those in the most recent harmonised templates.

The eChemPortal application facilitates simultaneous searching of data sources by chemical name, number or property, as well as by GHS classification.

It provides direct links to collections of chemical hazard and risk information prepared for government chemical review programmes at regional, national and international level.
