We have been an independent service provider for the agrochemical and industrial chemical industry since 1996, with currently over 570 employees at sites in Europe, Asia and the USA. As a leading service provider with an international focus, we offer comprehensive advice on the registration of agrochemicals, biocides, industrial chemicals, veterinary pharmaceuticals, medical devices and biotechnological pharmaceuticals.

To support our team we are currently seeking a

Expert Regulatory Ecotoxicologist

- full-time or part-time with min. 32 hrs per week / permanent contract -

Role and Responsibilities

  • Environmental fate and ecotoxicological hazard assessment as well as environmental risk assessment with special focus on REACh and Biocidal Product Regulation
  • Setting up of registration strategies including waiving, read-across, testiJanirng for environmental fate and ecotoxicology.
  • Planning and monitoring of environmental studies
  • Evaluation of study reports including preparation of (robust) study summaries
  • Derivation of respective reference values as well as PBT assessments
  • Preparation of expert statements and position papers
  • Experience in environmental hazard assessment of specific substance classes (e.g. assessment of endocrine disruptive properties, nano materials)
  • Communication and close co-operation with our customers and relevant authorities

Prole and Qualifications

  • University degree in biology, agricultural or environmental science or equivalent; PhD degree would be a benefit
  • Working experience of at least 5 years
  • Very good interpersonal skills
  • Strongly motivated with excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Excellent language skills in English (spoken and written); additional language skills would be an asset
