Positions Purpose

The Senior Registration Specialists is responsible for the approval/renewal of active substances of the ISK portfolio in EMEA and CIS and to obtain, maintain and renew registrations for the respective plant protection products. He/she supports the team with sound scientific knowledge in toxicology, ecotoxicology, efate or associated fields of expertise.


This position requires strong internal and external project / process management and leadership skills including a regulatory advisory role at country level (inside and outside Europe). Specific responsibilities for individual position holders will be identified and agreed as part of the annual performance planning process. Key focus areas / tasks are:

  • Project Management: Substances, countries, technical expertise
  • Relationship Management: internal and external customers, such as Authorities, laboratories, etc.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: registration studies, contracts, etc.

Depending on the candidate profiles, supplementary responsibilities may be agreed between the position holders and their manager.

Person specifications

The successful candidate will be qualified in chemistry, toxicology, biology, eco-toxicology, agronomy or related fields. Good knowledge in seed treatment regulation is desired but not a must. He/she is fluent English with at least one other major European language (French, German, Dutch, Spanish etc.).

Experience, knowledge and skills required

  • Sound/Proven experience (min. 5 years) in regulatory affairs in agricultural industry:
    • Deep understanding of the general regulatory requirements for active substances and plant protection products in Europe (Ex-Europe is an asset)
    • Deep understanding of scientific practices and specific regulatory legislations relevant for the assigned countries.
  • Excellent understanding of methods and techniques for the assessment and management of risks.
  • Strong commitment to provide high quality service hand in hand with excellent collaboration with external and internal customers.
  • Proven ability of strong project leadership securing co-operation and involvement of different internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven Project management and negotiation skills.
