Regulatory Compliance Manager - midlands - globally recognised brand!

A speciality consumer products and chemicals company focusing on a niche area of the sector but with a broad range of products for its target market, are seeking a Regulatory Compliance manager. Cornering a large segment of the market share, they offer an opportunity with minimal supervision and maximum flexibility. The company is in a continued growth phase with the industry they support gaining momentum after a period of decline. Subsequently, the position offers an exciting period of growth as well as a broad mix of regulations.

In a standalone role, you will have the chance to make this position your own and put your own stamp on it. In a Regulatory compliance position you will be responsible for overall project management and compliance against GHS, CLP and REACh. The position covers EMEA region with India and Russia as an extension. The newly legislated country Turkey will also be an area of responsibility.

The position is mainly dealing with chemical legislation for its lubricants products. Whilst there is mainly exposure to REACh and CLP, you will also deal with other compliance issues and maintain inventory lists.

The position offers a chance to be involved in all main aspects of regulatory across European lines. You will check regulatory requirements across the trading block checking formulations, packaging etc.

Reporting into the unit director, you will be involved in substance and product classifications, hazard labelling, chemical inventory compliance, notifications and registrations.

Finally you will be expected to monitor and report any compliance risks.

Longer term the position could potentially extend into a global position.

Qualifications and Experience

Educated to degree level in a science related subjected such as Chemistry, Toxicology etc.

A proven regulatory background with knowledge of global registration requirements.

Expertise within REACh regulation and risk assessment is a must have. Additional regulations are a bonus.
