Risk & Policy is an independent consultancy with a strong reputation and proven expertise in the fields of environment, economics, chemicals, UK & EU policy and sustainability and particularly at the forefront of work in the field of chemicals risk management. RPA is an employee-owned business run through an employee ownership trust (EOT) where staff own 75% of the business through the trust, with future profits being shared equally.
At policy level, RPA has provided advice to the European Commission, for example on the impacts of changes in the scope of REACH, but also to national governments and industry associations. RPA also leads a framework contract with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) to provide consultancy support across a range of areas.
RPA’s services to industry (associations, consortia and individual companies) are tailored at assisting organisations to meet their obligations under the REACH Regulation. In particular, RPA is advising a range of clients on how to respond to the requirements for Authorisation of the continued use of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) and has been involved in the preparation of Applications for Authorisation for 9 substances covering more than 50 uses.
RPA also provides support to industry in relation to proposed REACH restrictions on substances, as well as substance defence, more generally with respect to the impacts of harmonised classifications under the range of EU legislation; this includes the impacts under the Biocidal Products and Plant Protection Products Regulations.
Currently, we are experiencing a surge in demand for our services across all of these different areas and we are also looking to expand our service offering in the area of regulatory observatory/surveillance activities.
As a result, RPA is seeking a Chemical Risk Management Specialists at the Consultant or Senior Consultant Level to join our international Chemicals Team in the UK.
